Our Miss USA Recap 2014

Oh my goodness, I hope you were like us and eating Oreos and Milk as you were watching in awe of the dresses and beauty of the Miss USA Pageant last night. We really thought this year was fun and entertaining … we hope you caught the fun but if not here are some recaps….

1. Miss Nevada won! You must know that fact if you are going to chat with your girlfriends about this one… here is Miss Nia Sanchez getting crowned. (Picture via: People.com) We love the fact that she is a fourth-degree black-belt and spoke on the importance of women being able to defend themselves from attackers! YAY you go girl!

2. Lets chat gowns… oh they did not let us down there were some amazing gowns. These are our favorite three:

Here is our Miss USA (Miss Nevada): This dress is beyond perfection… the tight fitted ruching on bodice that elegantly goes into a fit and flare style… ugh just perfection! LOVE this look!

Here is our Miss Louisiana USA Brittany Guidry in this chic high-collared dress. This honestly was our favorite look of the night. The class and the fashion risk that was involved with this number just really makes us want to give her a standing ovation. We LOVED it!

Here is the first runner-up, Miss North Dakota's Audra Mari in this gorgeous green number. We have to say this color is spectacular on her. We love the fit and the tiny bit of skin she is showing… so beautifully made. Which one was your favorite?

3. We also want to give a huge standing ovation to Miss Pennsylvania Valerie Gatto who opened up about being a "product of rape" from when her mother 19 years old was attacked and raped. We thought it was an important issue and we knew it took a lot of courage for her to be so open and real. We loved that she wasn't just another beautiful face! She was quoted as saying she is "living proof that your circumstances do not define your life."
